Why SmartPod supports SMART SAFETY FIRST
SmartPod is engineered to help protect motorists and work zone crews with a design built around reliable, redirective performance and faster recovery after impacts. It is described as non-sacrificial, fully redirective, non-gating, bi-directional, and tested to AASHTO MASH-16 (TL-3).
That matters because work zones don’t just need impact protection—they need solutions that can help:
- Reduce exposure time for crews during installation and post-impact response
- Restore protection quickly after an impact so the site can get back to a fully protected state sooner
- Support agency and contractor objectives for safer mobility through and around work areas
