Hill & Smith, Inc. Announces Planned Closure of Garland, Texas Facility
Columbus, OH – Hill & Smith, Inc., a leading provider of infrastructure products and solutions, today announced the planned closure of its manufacturing facility located in Garland, Texas. The company is targeting Friday, November 21, 2025, as the final day of operations. This date is tentative and subject to change based on operational requirements and transition needs.
Following a comprehensive review of its operations and long-term strategic priorities, Hill & Smith made the decision to consolidate production and operational support functions to improve efficiency and better serve its customers nationwide. Future operations currently performed in Garland will transition to National Signal, a Hill & Smith PLC operating company based in La Mirada, California.
“This decision was not made lightly and reflects our ongoing commitment to operational excellence and long-term sustainability,” said Vito Minneci, President & CEO of Hill & Smith, Inc. “We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and contributions of our Garland employees, and we are committed to supporting them through this transition with respect and care.”
Hill & Smith will be working closely with impacted employees over the coming weeks, providing severance packages, continuation of benefits, outplacement assistance, and consideration for roles at other company locations.
“We remain focused on delivering quality, safety, and value to our customers during this transition, while ensuring our employees are supported every step of the way,” added Minneci.
